On December 6, 2001, an unidentified skull was found in the Souhern part of Wayne County near the Neuse River. The remains were sent to the North Carolina Medical Examiners Office where it was determined that foul play contributed in the death. The Medical Examiners have estimated that the victim is a black male 22-33 years of age. A clay reproduction of the victims possible appearance have been photographed and posted below.
