Business Meeting

The minutes of the February 21, 2001 meeting were read and approved.

Old Business:

Discussion was held on the terms for the officers.

A one year term for the chair did not allow enough time for a new officer to learn procedures and policies.

A motion was made to amend the bylaws for officers to serve two years.

• Promotion of meetings:   It was stated that meetings used to be announced in the News-Argus, WGBR, fax through Donna Grady at the WCPS. To reach more of the membership, it was determined that these avenues should again be used.
• Future discussion ideas:
• Interlibrary loan for schools
• Untangling the web
• Services of libraries in the county
• Vendor presentation

• Discarded books were available for other libraries.
