The Wayne Information Network met on February 21, 2001 at 4:00 PM in the media center of Rosewood High School and branch library of the Wayne County Public Library.  Paula Waters, Media Coordinator, and the library staff provided refreshments and welcomed the members to the library. Members were welcomed by Paula Waters due to the resignation of former chair, Cliff Rhodes, who has accepted a position in Buncomb County.  The meeting was called to order and a welcome was extended to all newcomers.

The minutes of the November 8, 2000 meeting were approved.

Paula Waters, Media Coordinator of Rosewood High School, described the unique organization of the library. It serves as a public library branch after school hours. She also discussed the training available for networking from CISCO as a part of their programs in the high schools.

Old Business:

• A report from the Nominating Commitee was made and an election held.
• Lovely D. Forte was elected chair and Diane Kester was elected recorder.

• Discarded books were available for other libraries.
