Phase I - The Children's Room will move into the auditorium.
Phase II - The Adult side will move into the current Children's Room area
Phase III - The back of the library and the current auditorium will be renovated.
Old Business:
  1. Lists from Wayne Community College, Wayne County Public Library, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Library, Rosewood High School and Mount Olive College libraries have been submitted to Tony Howell,  W.T. Cox Subscriptions Inc. for the creation of the Wayne County Union List of Serials.  This product will provide valuable data to locate journal articles within the county.
New Business:
  1. It was announced that Seven Springs Library received a Project Tomorrow Grant.
  2. There is a vacancy in the Reference Division of the Public Library.
  3. The University of Michigan has a librarian that serves Seymour Johnson AFB for classes held on the base.
  4. There is a need for more marketing efforts for the libraries in Wayne County. Members were asked to begin thinking of ways to address efforts in the coming year.
  5. Distance Education will be the topic for the next meeting.
  6. Election of officers for the next year was held.  Ramona Dunkley and Marie Edwards, nomination committee, presented the slate, to continue with the current officers - Cliff Rhodes, chair, and Diane Kester, recorder.  The motion to re-elect these officers was passed.
  7. The suggestion was to make the term of office two years, rather than one year and to include a co-chair. This idea was tabled until the next meeting as it will require a bylaws change.
