Tutorial software and laptop computers are available for teachers to check out to earn technology continuing education units. Priscilla has branched out into doing storytelling for groups and meetings.
Retirement - Katherine Wood Wolfe - Katherine has married and is enjoying retirement.
Wayne Community College - Susie Parris - Interlibrary loans have increased with the launching of NCLive. She also has been ordering new audiovisual materials for the college curriculum support.
Wayne Community College - Shirley Jones - Discards from WCC were presented for relocation to other libraries. Several grant proposals have been successful and WCC has received over $30,000 for Internet workstations. Increase in the traffic in the library occurs in the late afternoons after the high schools students are dismissed.
Wayne County Public Library - Paul Ritty - There is a list of periodicals available in the Reference Department. You may check for archives on the web.
Wayne County Public Library - Cliff Rhodes - ILL has picked up tremendously. He noted the free service from NC Live and First Search has contributed to the increase.
Moye Library, Mount Olive College - Susan Ryberg - The Reference Department is providing extended services to the local and remote campuses. Bibliographic instruction is available for students and classes.
Moye Library, Mount Olive College - Gary Barefoot - MOC has 1800 students with 1200 in the remote campuses. The library has a Human Organization module on Bibliographic Instruction. Two strong and expanding programs are church ministries and criminal justice. Gary spoke on the cooperative agreements with libraries from Durham to the coast to support the remote campuses of MOC. NCLive has been the greatest impact on library services and will be available through remote access.
