By-Laws of the

Wayne Information Network

 

I.           Name: This organization shall be known as the Wayne Information Network (WIN).

 

II.                 Purpose: The purpose of WIN shall be to promote library and library services development.

 

III.               Mission: The mission of WIN shall be to develop cooperative

 

A.         Services and programming for citizens of Wayne County;

B.         Collection development;

C.         Staff development;

D.         Access to information.

 

IV.             Members: Any person associated with public, school, academic, and special libraries, who is residing or working in Wayne County may be a member.

 

V.              Officers: The officers shall be a chair and a recorder, elected by the members attending the Spring meeting.  They shall assume their duties at the Summer meeting and serve one year.

 

A.     The chair shall designate the host for the meeting and shall notify members of the time and place at least 3 weeks in advance.

 

B.     The recorder shall keep a record of each meeting and distribute the minutes

 

VI.             Meetings: Regular meetings will be held quarterly, Spring (May), Summer (August), Fall (November), and Winter (February), on the second (2nd) Thursday of the month.  Hosts will be rotated according to the following schedule: Spring - WCPL, Summer - WCC/MOC, Fall - Special (SJAFB, Cherry, WCDS, others), and Winter - WPS.
