Hello all you Postal employees out there! Welcome to the Cherry's Home Page. Although I worked with Post Office, there are many in my family who are Police Officers. Below is some of my family who I am very proud of. My father and my two brothers in the Massillon, Ohio area. I have worked with the U.S. Postal Service for 19 years, as aletter carrier. Presently retired with a disability. The last six years at the Goldsboro Post Office were the worst years of my life. There is much stress within the Post Office, but what's more are the lies which management tells. My supersisor, Alvin Brantley was the biggest liar of all. I do not know how this fellow can live with himself. I'm sure his wife must be as ill as he is. I feel sorry for the ones that work under him.

Like they always say, bad things happen to bad people. Brantley will get his one day.

My Background

I started the Post Office in Canton, Ohio (Football Hall of Fame) in 1978 and worked there about nine years. It's not fun carrying the mail in the cold and snow, so I did just like the geese do and went south.

My Interests

As my interests go, I own a Computer Business in my home, CHERRY'S COMPUTERS where I build, repair and sell a few parts. It keeps me pretty busy. I am also an amateur radio operator. My call is WD8JQW. I enjoy going to computer shows and hamfest.

My Personal Records

This is a picture below is my Grandfather in 1949. He was the Constable back then in the hills of Tenn. up around Moss, Tenn. In the picture is a still in which was used to make moonshine. It was taken right after a raid. The picture is not real clear, it is an old picture. I have gone up into Tenn. around the Moss and Celia areas of Tenn. and have found many of the Cherry clan still around.
